NP/PA of Oncology opening outside of Cincinnati, OH Located in Edgewood, KY - Cincinnati 10m Full-Time/Permanent Employed Board Certified Position Overview: Provide specialized care for oncology patients, including same-day symptom management visits Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for oncology patients in collaboration with an oncologist Monitor and manage infusion reactions, chemotherapy side effects, and systemic therapy responses Serve as a resource for infusion nursing staff and pharmacy to ensure safe treatment delivery Educate and counsel patients and families regarding treatment options, side effects, and symptom management Responsibilities: Conduct patient assessments, review lab results, and manage oncologic symptoms Oversee care of patients experiencing infusion reactions Support patients throughout their treatment journey, addressing physical, emotional, and psychological needs Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, and social workers Attend tumor board conferences and participate in ongoing oncology-specific education Contribute to service line development and quality improvement initiatives Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR) and ensure compliance with safety regulations Requirements: Education & Certification: - Master s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program - Board certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) - BLS/ACLS certification required Experience: - Minimum 2 years of oncology healthcare experience preferred - Experience in both inpatient and outpatient oncology settings highly desirable Skills: - Strong knowledge of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and symptom management - Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR), preferably EPIC - Excellent communication and teamwork skills - Willingness to obtain bone marrow biopsy procedure credentialing
