A multi-specialty practice in Orange County is currently seeking a licensed Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a great opportunity with their team in Orange County, NY.

About the Opportunity:

  • Specialty: Oncology NP
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday standard business hours
  • Patient Population: Adults

Responsibilities:

The Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP):

  • Provides advanced oncologic nursing assessment and documentation
  • Performs inpatient hospital rounding as per provided schedule
  • Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic treatments and non-pharmacologic modalities
  • Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient's disease-specific needs
  • Monitors the effectiveness of interventions prescribed
  • Facilitates the patient's transition within and between healthcare settings
  • Provides education to patients, families, and significant others
  • Acts as an information resource to students, healthcare professionals, patients, and the public
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals

Qualifications:

  • New York Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
  • ONS and ONCC certification
