About The University of Texas Medical Branch – Galveston
UTMB Health provides comprehensive, state-of-the-art multidisciplinary cancer care for all types of cancer. This includes common cancers, such as breast, prostate, lung, and colon, as well as blood cancers, including lymphomas. Our Radiation Oncologists are ABR-Certified or Eligible, and our physicians are actively involved in clinical research and conduct many clinical trials, including those in conjunction with NIH-sponsored groups such as RTOG (Radiation Therapy Oncology Group).

Qualifications include:
- Ph.D. in medical physics, physics, engineering, or a related physical science
- Board certification in therapeutic medical physics
- At least three years of full-time clinical experience
- Experience in IMRT, IGRT, HDR brachytherapy, SRS, and SBRT
- Demonstrated experience in clinically-oriented medical physics research and publications
- Strong technical skills and a commitment to research and teaching
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and educational environment
