HSHS Medical Group is recruiting an Board Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Occupational Health Clinic in Springfield, IL. HSHS Medical Group works in partnership with Hospital Sisters Health System. Position Requirements: -Provide occupational health appointments including, but not limited to, pre-employment physicians, specialty physicals, and worker's comp care. -Unrestricted Illinois license prior to start. -Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant prior to start -Experience as a practicing provider is preferred, but not required. *Experience in Occupational Health, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, or Emergency Medicine is also preferred. - DOT Medical Examiner certification preferred. *Will be required as a part of orientation if not previously certified. Position Details: Monday - Friday weekly schedule No Call Rotation, Weekends, or Holidays. EPIC EMR Designated support staff Compensation & Benefits Package: Set base salary Paid time off with holidays accrued bi-weekly CME reimbursement + days available per fiscal year Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance both available.


Education Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Nursing is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing PLUS 5 years relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Doctoral degree in Nursing is preferred.

Experience Qualifications

  • Experience in management of patients across the care continuum preferred.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

  • Licensed in the state of practice as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse is required.
  • Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (WDSPS) or
  • Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Board certification from the National Certification Corporation is preferred.
  • Controlled Substance license in state of practice is preferred.
  • Federal DEA license is preferred.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is preferred.
