A federally qualified health center in Central NJ is currently seeking a women's health Nurse Practitioner for a great full-time opportunity.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8am to 5pm or 9am to 6pm
Responsibilities:
The NP will be responsible for:
- Perform routine well-woman exams and use these exams to screen for conditions such as cervical cancer and breast abnormalities
- Provide family planning services, including prescribing and fitting contraceptive methods, offering counseling on family planning options, and educating women about birth control choices
- Provide prenatal care to pregnant women
- Diagnose and treat various gynecological conditions, including menstrual disorders, urinary tract infections, and sexually transmitted infections
- Manage the physical and emotional changes that come with menopause
- Educate women about breast health and conduct breast exams to detect abnormalities
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of related work experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Active NJS Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) license
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
- Patient oriented
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Desired Skills:
- Experience in LARC (IUD + Nexplanon) insertion and colposcopy procedure
