Mercy Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join its growing Neurology team, with a primary focus on Alzheimer’s and Dementia care. This is a full-time, outpatient-based position offering the opportunity to build and expand a specialized neurology practice while also supporting general neurology patient care as needed. The role is ideal for clinicians passionate about cognitive disorders and neurodegenerative diseases.

Job Responsibilities

Develop and expand an outpatient Alzheimer’s and Dementia-focused neurology practice
Provide direct patient care for cognitive disorder patients and general neurology cases as needed
Work closely with a team of 9 Neurologists and 1-2 other Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs)
Maintain thorough and accurate patient records using Epic EMR
Participate in mentorship and education for Neurology residents within a competitive residency program
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary neuroscience team, including Neurosurgery, Endovascular/Stroke, and Neurocritical Care specialists
Engage in patient and caregiver education to improve quality of care and support

Qualifications

Must be a Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
Ability to obtain an Ohio medical license
Ability to obtain DEA certification with full prescriptive authority
Preferred but not required: Previous experience in neurology or cognitive disorders

Working Hours

Full-time, Monday-Friday schedule
5x 8-hour shifts per week
No call responsibilities

Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills in neurology and cognitive disorders
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-based environment
Excellent patient education and communication skills
Proficiency in electronic medical records (Epic EMR)
