A renowned healthcare facility is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join their Neurocritical Care team. This is a great opportunity to provide exceptional care within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

About the Opportunity

  • Shift: Night shifts, 6:30 PM - 7:30/8:00 AM
  • Schedule: Flexible, 3-4 nights per week preferred; part-time options with 2 nights per week considered
  • Hours: 13 to 13.5-hour shifts
  • Setting: NeuroICU with 23 beds, managing 6-9 patients per night alongside a collaborative team of NPs/PAs
  • Patient Population: Neurocritical care, including acute stroke, head/spine trauma, neurosurgery, and some MICU overflow

Responsibilities

The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for:

  • Delivering advanced clinical care to NeuroICU patients.
  • Managing acute neurological conditions, including stroke and head/spine trauma.
  • Performing critical procedures such as central line and arterial line placements.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintaining thorough documentation and adhering to clinical protocols.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of dedicated NeuroICU or critical care experience.
  • Education: Master's degree in Nursing with Nurse Practitioner certification.
  • Certifications: Current state licensure, BLS/ACLS required.
  • Proficiency in critical care procedures, including central and arterial line placement.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
