Facility in Altoona, PA seeking Neonatology APP locums coverage

Rates: $135/hr

Job Details:

  • Specialty: Neonatology

  • Credential Accepted: NP; PA (Board Certified)

  • Start Date: January 6, 2025

  • Reason for Job Opening: New Position

  • Coverage Need: 1-2 APPs to assist with NICU and nursery coverage for 24-hour shifts (7a-7a). No coverage for the Pediatric floor.

  • Shifts Per Month: 7 shifts

  • EMR: Cerner

  • Call: In-house, on call for deliveries and urgent patient issues. Call room provided.

  • Daily Census: 2.4 patients

  • Annual Births: 1,597 in 2023

  • C-Section Rate: 28.6% in 2024

  • Number of NICU Beds: 8

Procedures Required:

  • Circumcisions

  • Intubations

  • Arterial lines

  • Central lines

  • Umbilical lines

  • PICC lines

Requirements:

  • Board Certified: Yes (NP or PA)

  • State License: Active Pennsylvania license required

  • Certifications: BLS, CPR, PALS

  • Experience: 1 year of experience in Neonatology
