We are seeking dedicated Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) for locum tenens positions in the Greenville, NC area. This position requires working 2-3 days per week and focuses on providing high-quality care to patients. This role focuses on conducting initial visits, annual wellness visits, and establishing care for patients in a variety of settings, including their homes and a mobile clinic. Providers will work with a multidisciplinary team to transition patients to their continuity care provider and help improve overall population health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial patient visits, including physical exams, intake, and assessments.
  • Travel to patient locations, whether in-home or using a fully equipped mobile clinic.
  • Perform initial visits, annual wellness exams, and establish-care visits for Medicare and Medicaid patients.
  • Collaborate with care teams, including social workers, behavioral health providers, and clinical specialists.
  • Provide occasional urgent care and triage support.
  • Advocate for patients by addressing barriers to care and improving access to resources.

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least 2 years of clinical experience in primary care, chronic care, or complex care.
  • Certification from an accredited NP/PA program with active licensure in Alabama (or the ability to obtain it before starting).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for engaging patients and improving health outcomes.
  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory with access to reliable personal transportation.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly pay of $70–$80, depending on experience.
  • Mileage reimbursement for travel to and from patient visits.

Physical and Travel Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds and perform tasks involving frequent bending, reaching, and kneeling.
  • This is an in-person role supporting patients in Huntsville, AL, and surrounding areas, with occasional virtual visits.
