Primary Care Physician Assistant

Position Overview:

Dogwood Medical Group, a patient-centered medical practice located in Gainesville, Virginia, is seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician Assistant to join our team. This full-time position involves providing comprehensive primary care services to adult patients (ages 18+), including routine visits and basic gynecologic care, with no required procedures. Our practice is known for its high-quality care and supportive environment, which includes our friendly office dog who works full-time alongside our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services, including routine visits and basic gynecologic care.
  • Manage a patient panel of adults aged 18 and older, seeing approximately 15-18 patients per day.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Emphasize preventive care and health education.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Certification: Must be a certified Physician Assistant.
  • Licensure: Active Virginia license or willingness to obtain one.
  • Experience: Preferred 1+ year of post-graduate experience in a primary care setting; however, exceptional new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Personal Attributes: Must have a fondness for dogs, as our office dog is an integral part of our team.
