Primary Care Physician Assistant
Location: Gales Ferry, Connecticut
Practice: Gales Ferry Medical Group
Schedule:
- Work Week: 4 days (Monday Friday)
- Flexible Options: Full-time (4 days per week) or Part-time (minimum 3 days per week)
Position Overview:
Gales Ferry Medical Group, a trusted independent medical practice serving southeastern Connecticut since 1970, is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our team. The role involves providing comprehensive primary care services, including sick and well visits and some gynecologic care, to a diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting: Outpatient only
- Patient Volume: 18-22 patients per day
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including routine sick and well visits.
- Provide gynecologic care as part of primary care services.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions with evidence-based treatment plans.
- Promote preventive care and health maintenance strategies tailored to patient needs.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with healthcare standards.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Nationally Certified Physician Assistant
- Active PA license in Connecticut (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of primary care or outpatient experience preferred but open to stellar new graduates
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
