SSM Health St. Mary s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic healthcare team. **Responsibilities:**

  • Provide comprehensive primary and specialty care services, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and management of chronic conditions.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments according to established protocols and scope of practice.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
  • Stay current with advancements in internal medicine and healthcare practices through continuing education and professional development.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical research projects as appropriate.
  • Provide mentorship and support to nursing staff and students.

**Qualifications:**

  • Master s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Missouri.
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Adult or Family Medicine by a recognized certifying body (e.g., ANCC, AANP).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an internal medicine or primary care setting preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills in internal medicine, including experience with a wide range of medical conditions. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
  • Proficiency in Epic electronic health record (EHR) system.
