UP Health System-Portage, part of regional UP Health System in Hancock, Michigan (UP, gateway to the Keweenaw Peninsula) is growing with the addition of an employed, full-time BC/BE Internal Medicine APP (NP or PA) to strengthen our established outpatient team.
Those who are currently practicing or are currently in training can be considered.

  • 4 provider group – 2 physicians/2 APPs
  • Mon-Fri 8a to 5p
  • Average # of patients per day 20-25
  • 1:4 shared telephone only call
  • No call, no inpatient


Hospital:

UP Health System-Portage has been providing comprehensive healthcare for the Upper Peninsula of Michigan since 1896. The 36-bed hospital is a verified chest pain center through the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care (SCPC) and houses the area’s only open bore MRI machine. UPHS-Portage was home to the first Level III ACS (American College of Surgeons) verified trauma center and emergency department in the state.
