JOB TITLE (#2675): Physician Assistant / Urgent Care - Peekskill, NY

Minimum of 1 year Urgent Care experience

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking an Urgent Care Physician Assistant to fill an opening with an Urgent care practice located in Peekskill, New York

Requirements of the Physician Assistant/ Urgent Care:

  • Must have an active State License
  • Must be Board Certified
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in Urgent Care

Schedule of the Physician Assistant/ Urgent Care:

  • This is a Full-time, Part-tine or Per-Diem position
  • Monday to Friday (8:00 AM to 8:00 PM) with every other Saturday

Responsibilities of the Physician Assistant/ Urgent Care:

  • Develop and implement treatment plans that are appropriate for each patient’s condition or illness
  • Conduct physical examinations and tests to diagnose conditions, infections, disease processes, etc.
  • Provide advice to patients about health maintenance, hygiene practices, diet modification, medication use, etc.
  • Perform diagnostic tests, such as wound culture, urinalysis, and blood tests
  • Treat minor wounds, cuts, and other injuries using sterile techniques to prevent infection
  • Provide educational services to patients regarding their illness or injury
  • Order diagnostic tests, such as X-rays or laboratory tests, to help determine the cause of an injury or illness
  • Communicate with other healthcare team members to discuss patient care plans
  • Provide counseling services to patients with behavioral health problems
