A non-profit healthcare company has a great opportunity awaiting a new HIM IT Analyst.

About the Opportunity:

  • Location: Must reside in CT, NY, or NJ
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid (onsite in Stamford, CT 1-4 times a month, as needed)

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a business liaison for assigned health system departments, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they become critical
  • Represent Information Systems (IS) on interdisciplinary hospital committees, advocating for best practices in electronic solutions
  • Identify and resolve workflow inefficiencies, proposing optimized workflows for electronic solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex business issues independently, implementing system solutions that improve business operations
  • Provide ongoing maintenance and advancement of HIS applications, databases, and interfaces to meet user and organizational needs
  • Investigate, test, and resolve technical issues escalated via the Service Desk, ensuring timely resolutions and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Plan, design, and implement new applications and workflow enhancements, including software evaluation, project management, process changes, training, application testing, integration testing, data conversion, and production support
  • Oversee application-related projects, coordinating with IS and other departments to ensure proper communication, execution, and adherence to best practices in design, architecture, project planning, and vendor integration
  • Actively participate in the Information Services PMO, ensuring adherence to IS methodologies and maintaining standard project procedures
  • Provide after-hours support for critical system issues and collaborate with the outsourced Help Desk to identify and resolve service-related concerns
  • Maintain compliance with departmental policies, external regulations, and industry best practices while demonstrating professionalism in alignment with organizational success factors

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting clinical or financial HIS applications
  • Proven experience implementing and supporting HIS applications within a hospital or healthcare system

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent technical training
  • Epic application experience
  • One or more of the following certifications: Epic Core HIM, HIM ROI, or Coding/CDI Certifications (must obtain software module certification within six months of employment if not already certified)
