Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join our closely knit, established team of 18 physicians and six advanced practice providers, supported by a clinical performance nurse.
  • We have a stable team that is steadily expanding. We are looking to add more clinicians to our growing practice.
  • UNC Nash is a well-established hospital in Rocky Mount, NC, offering a wide range of services, including a semi-open ICU, intensive care coverage, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
  • We welcome complex cases while ensuring our team is supported with resources like intensivists and e-ICU.

Qualifications:

  • PA certification is required.
  • We seek an experienced hospitalist Physician Assistant carrying your census
  • One year of hospitalist physician assistant experience is preferred or a desire to transition into the field
  • Rotate seeing Coastal Plains Psych patients with an average of 2-6 patients per day
  • Ability to work well in a team-based environment, focusing on collaboration and patient-centered care.
Practice in the Heart of Rocky Mount

Key Responsibilities:

  • Semi-open ICU with full intensivist coverage 24 hours a day
  • Procedures are not required
  • We do not run codes, and our APPs are not in the ICU
  • Work closely with hospital colleagues across departments, serving on committees and contributing to hospital-wide initiatives like reducing hospital-acquired infections (HAIs).
  • Round and discharge patients within the hospital.
  • Focus on delivering high-quality care while benefiting from a flexible schedule, allowing for time with family, friends, and personal interests.

Flexible scheduling:

  • Advanced Practitioner hours are 7p-7a days only 7 on /7 off
