The Oncology Institute (TOI) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join our oncology team in Hemet / Beaumont, CA. This position is a hybrid hospitalist role, working a half day in the clinics and a half day in the hospitals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oncology care and/or hospitalist experience. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care to oncology patients in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
  • Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Conduct patient assessments, including physical exams, medical histories, and diagnostic tests.
  • Manage symptoms and side effects of cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, and ongoing care.
  • Participate in clinical rounds and contribute to care planning.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

Qualifications:

  • Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in California.
  • Board certification as an NP (ANCC, AANP, or equivalent) or PA (NCCPA)
  • Minimum of 2 years of oncology or hospitalist experience preferred.
  • BLS and ACLS certification are required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
