Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist Opening in TX Location: Anahuac, TX Position Details This position may work in an inpatient or outpatient setting independently or collaborative as part of a treatment team with other healthcare providers and performs according to the nurse practice act of the State of Texas (APRN) or Texas Medical Board for Physician Assistants (PA). Experience Requirements -1-2 years experience in the Nurse Practitioner role preferred. - Must be able to work independently with limited supervision. Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Graduate of an accredited Advanced Practice Nursing Program or Accredited Physician Assistant Program.
- Active and unencumbered Advanced Practice Nurse (APRN) Licensure by Texas Board of Nursing (APRN Only)
- Certified by the NCCPA as a Physician Assistant (PA-C Only) with an active and unencumbered license in the state of Texas.
- Possess prescribing privileges and DEA/DPS registration.
- Eligible to participate in Texas Medicaid and other State or insurance plans and programs
- Current BLS card
- Current ATLS, ACLS, PALS card (when applicable for ER Coverage)
- Adheres to the Health Centers Credentialing and Privileging Policy
- Basic computer and literacy skills with experience/knowledge of EMR (electronic medical record) documentation.
- Ability to communicate with others effectively both orally and in writing in working out solutions to problems or questions relating to work.
- Ability to multi-task in a high-change environment while maintaining exceptional customer service skills.
