TeamHealth is hiring for a nurse practitioner (NP) or physician assistant (PA) to work in a skilled nursing facility 4 days a week in Puyallup, Washington.

As an advanced practice provider in the skilled nursing facility setting, you will experience:
  • A Diverse Patient Population: Skilled nursing facilities provide clinicians with the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, managing chronic conditions, or in need of rehabilitation. This variety can offer valuable experience in treating a range of medical conditions.
  • An Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Working in a skilled nursing facility allows clinicians to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals. This collaborative environment can enhance patient care by incorporating different perspectives and expertise.
  • Long-Term Relationships: Clinicians in skilled nursing facilities have the opportunity to develop long-term relationships with patients and their families. Building rapport over time can lead to better continuity of care, improved patient outcomes, and a sense of fulfillment in providing ongoing support to individuals in need.
Responsibilities:
  • Deliver primary care for short-term and long-term patients.
  • Manage chronic diseases, diagnose conditions, and create care plans.
  • Order and interpret lab results, prescribe medications, and consult with other healthcare providers.
  • Educate patients and their caregivers, and promote healthy lifestyle changes.
Requirements:
  • New grads welcome; primary care and post-acute care experience are a plus.
  • Active and unrestricted Washington NP/PA license and DEA.

Compensation and Benefits:
Expected compensation is estimated salary range of $123,000/annually and $174,000/annually with no cap productivity income potential. This full-time role is benefit eligible including 401(k), health, dental, and vision insurance, disability, FSA, and more.
