TeamHealth is hiring a part-time nurse practitioner (NP) or physician assistant (PA) to work 2 to 3 days a week covering weekends providing primary care in a skilled nursing facility environment in the Tacoma area. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform primary care in a skilled nursing facility setting for short-term and long-term patients
- Manage chronic disease, diagnose illnesses and medical conditions, and implement plan of care
- Order and interpret lab results
- Prescribe and monitor medications
- Consult with physicians and coordinate patient care with other clinicians
- Educate patients and their caregivers on coping skills to handle chronic and age-related

- Post-acute care experience a plus but not required
