Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate First Chair APP Hospitalist to join our team in Carthage, NY. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a rural setting while maintaining a balanced work-life schedule of one week on, one week off.
As a First Chair APP Hospitalist, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare providers, effectively functioning as a primary provider. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a hospital setting, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to hospitalized patients
- Perform physical examinations, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and collaborate with the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in patient records
- Participate in patient rounds, case discussions, and continuous education initiatives
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical practices, procedures, and advancements
Qualifications:
- Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with a valid New York State license
- Previous experience as a hospitalist or in a related acute care setting
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
