NP or PA Outer Banks Hospitalist Needed!

Our Outer Banks Hospital partner is seeking an APP to works as a locums with their established hospitalist team. This is an established multi-specialty group that has a passion for high quality of patient care. Provider must be comfortable with EKG interpretation and the interpretation of ABGs.

Dates Needed:

January – August (M-F) 10am-6pm

Details:

1. Hospital Medicine experience is required
2. 1 year inpatient experience preferred
3. Applicants must have a North Carolina DEA.
4. Applicants must be certified ACLS.
5. New providers will need to arrive the day before their first shift for orientation.

Job Highlights:

1. Hospital Privileges
2. 19-bed critical access hospital with only general med-surg beds
3. Clinical responsibilities include providing care for admitted patients and the evaluation for admission in the ER
4. Average inpatient census: 12-15
5. Average number of admissions per day: 5-6
6. No ICU
7. Provider will need to respond to codes
8. Clinical responsibilities include admissions, rounding, inpatient care, and preparing patients for discharge
