Advanced Practice - Geriatrics position in: Coatesville, PA

Locum Geriatrics NP opening in Pennsylvania Located in Coatesville, PA 44 miles to downtown Philadelphia, PA Dates: Start ASAP (6-month assignment with possible extension) Rate: Negotiable (tell us your rate) Position Details: Provide primary medical coverage in collaboration with physicians Conduct initial, semi-annual, and annual assessments of participants Develop and implement care plans for patients as needed Participate in discharge planning for acute and long-term placements Evaluate and treat patients during acute illness Prescribe medications, therapies, and treatments prudently Refer patients to medical specialists as needed Conduct home and nursing home visits as necessary Assist with policy development, quality assurance, and staff training Support intake of new participants and daily program operations Requirements: Master s degree in Nursing Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in long-term care Active PA License BLS, DEA, CDS certification Board Certification by ANCC or AANP Prescriptive authority required Experience working with the elderly or frail population preferred Valid driver s license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation
