A health services network in Orange County, NY is currently seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a great opportunity with their Gastroenterology team.
About The Opportunity:
- Schedule: Flexible - 3 twelve hour days, 4 nine hour days, or 5 seven hour days
- Hours: Standard business
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose health conditions and illnesses
- Examine patients and their medical records
- Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications
- Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.)
- Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases
- Prescribe medications
- Maintain accurate records and schedules
- Educate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics and prevention
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of related Gastroenterology experience
- Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree
- NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) license
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
- Patient oriented
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
