Responsibilities

Virginia Mason Medical Center as part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Seattle, Washington is recruiting a Physician Assistant - Certified or Nurse Practitioner to join our Gastroenterology team.

You’ll be part of a collegial team environment with superb support staff and easy access to primary care and specialists. Virginia Mason patients benefit from a world-class, state-of-the-art endoscopy unit in a new hospital pavilion in addition to a dedicated, multidisciplinary team of experts committed to caring for patients with complex disorders. This position will be based in Downtown Seattle to start then move to a practice of 3 days in Downtown Seattle and 2 days in our Federal Way Regional Medical Center.

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner

  • Washington State Registered Nurse License and an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License are required for this job.
  • Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and National Provider Identifier (NPI) numbers may be required depending on the position, as well as prescriptive authority.
  • Advanced background in nursing; an understanding of anatomy, physiology, histology, and pharmacology; and strong interpersonal and counseling skills.
  • Certification by specialty area as well as work experience in specialty area may be required, depending on the position.

Physician Assistant - Certified

  • This position requires Certification as a Physician Assistant with prescriptive authority in the State of Washington.
