Position Summary:
Lee Health is seeking a PRN Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our growing Gastroenterology (GI) service line. This position will support our inpatient GI consult service, working alongside a dedicated team of GI physicians and APPs. The PRN APP will provide clinical care for patients with a range of gastrointestinal conditions in a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform inpatient GI consultations under physician supervision.
  • Collaborate with the GI medical and interventional teams to manage and coordinate patient care.
  • Conduct assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and initiate treatment plans.
  • Support care transitions and communication with primary teams.
  • Participate in team huddles, case reviews, and rounds as needed.

  • You will be joining a high-performing team of physicians and APPs.
  • Our team includes experienced GI physicians and advanced practitioners with a strong collaborative culture.
  • As a PRN APP, you will be oriented and supported by our existing inpatient team.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) in the state of Florida.
  • At least 1 year of experience preferred, ideally in gastroenterology, hospital medicine, or internal medicine.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills, adaptability, and comfort working in a fast-paced inpatient environment.
