A private gastroenterology practice in the Northern Houston area is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their team. The practice is committed to delivering comprehensive and compassionate care to patients across a spectrum of gastroenterological conditions. Currently, the team consists of one physician and two Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial patient assessments, consultations, and follow-up visits in both outpatient clinic and hospital settings.
  • Perform and assist with gastroenterological procedures and treatments under the supervision of the physician.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Provide patient education regarding gastrointestinal conditions, medications, and preventive measures.
  • Collaborate closely with the physician and healthcare team to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Current certification and licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Texas.
  • Experience in gastroenterology or a related specialty is preferred; however, new graduates with a strong interest in gastroenterology will be considered.
  • Procedural experience or willingness to learn and assist in gastroenterological procedures.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
