Job Description:
The Physician Assistant (PA) position is responsible for providing quality primary clinical care in consultation with the supervising physician. The PA\'s duties will also include, but are not limited to, providing patient assessments through patient exams, patient medical history, interpretation of required diagnostic procedures, and developing/implementing treatment and management plans of the outpatient.

Qualifications:
Posses a PA degree from a program accredited by the Accreditation Review Committee-Physician Assistant. It is desirable that the candidate has one-year prior experience in clinical care. Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, practitioners and other staff members. Must have strong organizational and decision-making skills.

Technical:
Manual dexterity and physical agility to operate all equipment and perform all procedures with scope of practice. Utilizes safe body mechanics to ensure patient a caregiver safety. A working knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT-4 codes.

Other Qualifications/Certificate/License:
Active license for the practice of medicine in the applicable State. Be board certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants. Possess and maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required. Providing services must be approved by the credentials committee and be granted hospital privileges. Must have and maintain independent prescribing authority, including DEA registration.
Understanding of OSHA and CLIA requirements.
