Womans Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

A health services network in New York City is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their growing Women's Health team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health assessments for female patients, including physical exams, medical histories, and lab tests
• Diagnose and treat gynecological and reproductive conditions, such as menstrual disorders, STIs, menopause, and urinary tract infections
• Provide prenatal and postnatal care, including routine checkups, health education, and counseling
• Offer family planning services, including contraception counseling, fertility treatment, and preconception care
• Provide health education and counseling on topics such as sexual health, nutrition, exercise, and mental wellness

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing
• Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner education program approved by the NYS Education Department
• NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner from a recognized accrediting body, such as the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
• ACLS and/or BLS certifications
• Active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or eligibility for registration
• Active Medicare/Medicaid enrollment or eligibility to enroll
• Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
• Microsoft Office suite proficient
