Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

We are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) for our primary care practice in Manatee, FL. In this role, you will train new and current providers while also seeing patients, primarily in a geriatric population. Training experience is required, with a preference for candidates familiar with eClinicalWorks (ECW). This is a 100% outpatient position, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care: Provide comprehensive care, including assessments, evaluations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and prevention of adverse events.
Training Role: Train new and current providers, helping them enhance their skills and knowledge. You will be responsible for ensuring that all providers are up-to-date on best practices and workflows.
Clinical Role: When not involved in training, you will see patients, manage both acute and chronic conditions, and provide care coordination.
Leadership and Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver safe, effective, and efficient care.
Quality Improvement: Continuously monitor and improve the quality of care through performance improvement efforts and ensuring excellent customer service and positive patient outcomes.
Care Coordination: Provide ongoing management and coordination for patients, particularly within the context of Medicare Advantage, Managed Care, and other primary care services.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a primary care setting is preferred.
Licensure: Must have an active Florida NP or PA license.
Bilingual: Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
Training Experience: Must have previous training experience. Experience with eClinicalWorks (ECW) is highly preferred.
Managed Care & Coding Experience: Experience with Managed Care, Medicare Advantage, and HEDIS coding is highly preferred.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $90,000 - $130,000, negotiable based on experience
