Physician Assistant, Specialty Care - Urogynecology

The University of Missouri School of Medicine’s Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility is pleased to announce an opening for a Physician Assistant to join our team.
This position will provide medical care in an outpatient setting, Monday- Friday, 8a – 5p, for the Urogynecology clinic.
The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health's mission is to provide the best care to patients, create an excellent educational experience for students, residents, and fellows, and advance the understanding of human illness and disease through creative and collaborative research.
The Department offers outstanding facilities and a dedicated team of physicians, scientists, advanced practice providers, nurses, and staff members committed to advancement in scientific achievement, clinical service, and medical education.
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Independently provide professional medical support for Urogynecology patient care.
• Collaborate with physicians and hospital staff to promote team-based patient care.
• Coordinate care for patients.
• Assist with screening patient conditions and needs.
• Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Act as a resource for patients, families, nursing staff and other health care professionals in area of expertise.
• Set treatment plans and prescribe appropriate actions to meet the plans within the established protocols, such as:
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plan in accordance with supervising physician's treatment plan
• Other duties as assigned.
Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Office/Administrative Hours: Yes - Position will have Office/Admin Hours
Flexibility for Alternative Schedules: Yes
MInimum Qualifications:
Physicians Assistant (PA) licensure by the Missouri State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts.
Must have, or be able to secure, a MO License from the MO Board of Healing Arts
Preferred Qualifications:
NCCPA Certified
