**Primary Care Nurse Practitioner opening in Columbus, IN** 46 miles from Indianapolis, IN The nations leading nonprofit behavioral health system is seeking a full time Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. JOB DESCRIPTION: - Provide psychiatric services consistent with established guidelines for best practice interventions for adults, children, and adolescents. - Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and provide medication management. - Collaborate with treatment team members for medical supervision, utilizing advanced - knowledge of psychopathology and psychopharmacology to assist clinical team members in diagnosis, case formulation, and choice of treatment interventions. - Maintain effective, collaborative relationship with Psychiatrists. - Follow best practice prescribing protocols as identified in research and from organizational processes. - Maintain an effective professional relationship with clinical support/nursing to efficiently and successfully support patients during and in between appointments. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: - Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods. - Master's Degree in Nursing required. (Clinical Nurse Specialist or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner) - One to three years of experience in Psychiatric Nursing environment or mental health care environment is preferred. - Must be licensed. Must have or be able to quickly obtain prescriptive authority.
