Barton Associates is working with a client to fill a locum tenens Hematology/Oncology Physician Assistant position in a hospital setting. This opportunity offers a chance to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings, providing specialized care for hematology and oncology patients.


Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide hematology and oncology care in both inpatient and outpatient settings

• Conduct daily rounds on inpatient hematology/oncology patients

• Manage conditions such as iron-deficiency anemia, hemophilia, sickle-cell disease, leukemia, and lymphoma

• Perform bone marrow biopsies (required skill)

• Work in the infusion center

• Complete discharge notes and other necessary documentation

• Conduct thorough chart reviews

• Maintain accurate and timely medical records using Epic EMR system


The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in hematology/oncology, be proficient in bone marrow biopsies, and have inpatient rounding experience with hematology/oncology patients.
