Physician Assistant OR Nurse Practitioner Washington Heights NY
We are looking for a motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our medical practice part time (2 days per week) in Washington Heights NY. The PA-C / NP will work under the supervision of the Physician or Surgeon but may also work independently, consulting with Physicians when necessary. Experience in all areas of medicine a plus but may specialize in an area such as pain management. Our ideal provider demonstrates a strong attention to detail, has excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a great bedside manner, and is competent in their clinical skills.

Duties:
  • Evaluate, manage, and coordinate patient care
  • Provide continuity of patient care
  • Patient consultation- See new and follow up with major medical patients, Physical exam, and take social/medical histories
  • Order and review tests/diagnostics
  • Document encounter
  • Create treatment plans
  • Prescribe medication
  • Health promotion and maintenance
  • Assist practice physician when needed
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team for comprehensive patient care

Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
  • PA-C/NP licensed to practice in NY
  • Clinical skills in Pain Management and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation knowledge a plus
  • BLS certification
  • Recent grads welcome
Compensation:
  • $65-$75/hr (DOE)
Schedule:
  • Part time (2 days per week, 8 hr days)
