A health services network in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their team at one of their primary care centers in Queens. In this role, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients of all ages.

Responsibilities:
The Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) will:

  • Obtain patient histories, conduct physical examinations, and document findings in electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Develop and implement diagnostic and treatment plans, including prescribing medications and performing minor procedures like suturing and splinting
  • Order and interpret lab tests and imaging to guide clinical decision-making
  • Provide patient education and counseling on preventive care and chronic disease management
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to discuss patient care and implement new clinical protocols
  • Deliver high-quality care and ensure patients are informed about post-discharge and follow-up instructions
  • Complete patient charts in a timely manner to ensure compliance with medical standards and billing requirements
  • Perform other duties as required to support patient care and clinical operations
  • Perform other duties as needed


Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, preferably as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
  • Active NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
  • Strong skills in patient assessment, clinical care, and thorough documentation
  • Patient-focused with a commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality care
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical setting
  • Highly organized with the ability to maintain accurate and timely medical records

Desired Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in an outpatient primary care setting
  • Graduate of a NYS Registered Nurse Practitioner Program
