Job Description
The Orthopaedics Advanced Practice Provider reports to the Orthopaedic Manager and is under the general supervision of the Orthopaedic surgeons. Duties include: performing all necessary hospital based documentation, ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, and diagnostic imaging, formulating a treatment plan for orthopaedic consultations, performing therapeutic and diagnostics procedures, first-assisting in surgery, ordering/prescribing medications and orthotics, and providing on-call coverage. The Orthopaedic APP will be an advocate for patients seeking services at Jefferson Northeast and assist in the overall continuum of care. The Orthopaedic APP will be expected to practice to the fullest extent permitted under the current state and federal laws.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required):

Master’s Degree, Graduate of an accredited physician assistant/nurse practioner program. |
AND |
Experience: |
At least 2 years’ experience in Orthopaedics preferred. Orthopaedic trauma experience desirable. |
If CRNP, must have RNFA |
Certified Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner in Pennsylvania
