Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to adult patients, managing a wide range of medical conditions and collaborating effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Schedule:
- Regular weekday office hours, approximately 20-30 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment and Diagnosis:
- Conduct thorough physical exams
- Collect patient histories
- Interpret diagnostic tests
- Treatment Planning and Management:
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe medications
- Provide follow-up care
- Chronic Disease Management:
- Monitor and manage chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease
- Preventive Care:
- Educate patients on disease prevention, health maintenance, and lifestyle changes
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Licensure:
- Current and valid state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner
Certification:
- National certification as an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) preferred
