Requirements:

  • Certification or training as a Chiropractic Assistant from an accredited program or institution (if required by the state or employer).
  • Minimum of one year of experience working as a Chiropractic Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in administering therapeutic modalities and understanding of chiropractic procedures.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and basic medical terminology.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to continuing education and staying current with advances in chiropractic care and practices.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to chiropractic practice and patient care.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the chiropractor in providing patient care, including preparing patients for treatment and assisting during chiropractic procedures.
  • Perform preliminary patient assessments, including taking medical histories and recording vital signs.
  • Administer therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and hot/cold packs under the direction of the chiropractor.
  • Instruct patients on exercises and stretches as prescribed by the chiropractor.
  • Maintain patient records, documenting treatments and progress.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and ensure cleanliness and readiness for patient visits.
  • Manage inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and availability.
  • Educate patients on proper posture, body mechanics, and lifestyle modifications to support chiropractic care.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, managing patient files, and handling billing and insurance documentation.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and clinic regulations and guidelines related to chiropractic care.
