We are hiring an experienced Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant in Beautiful, Rural South Dakota! Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery PA, Full Scope Opportunity with 80% OR Time!
- OR Service – 80% OR/20% Pre-Op/Post-Op/Med Mgt,
- 4- 10 hours shifts, most pay periods team is putting in 80-100 hours
- Call will rotate equally, expect 1 weekends per month

We are considering Locum, Perm and Locum to Perm Candidate Interest! Open to 6-12 month contract lengths with an opportunity to extend!
Inpatient duties include:
Function as a first assistant in the OR covering a breadth of cases in Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular surgeries which include, but are not limited to: CABG, AVR, MVR, MV repair, Bentall, Aortic Root work, Aortic Dissections, Convergent, MAZE, PVI, Thoracotomies, VATS, Lobectomies, Fem-pop, Ax-fem-fem, AAA, aneurysm repair, fistula creation, and thoracic traumas. Endoscopic and Open Vessel Harvest
Performed consultations and routine postoperative ICU and floor management of postoperative patients from the perioperative phase through discharge. Unique opportunity to grown professionally and clinically by advancing my experience with a diverse group of patients. Mentored monthly Medical Students to our service and supporting their clinical rotations in our full-scope service setting.
Outpatient duties include: Pre and postoperative clinic management, Aortic Aneurysm Surveillance, I & D and routine management of post operative wound management
