Job Description
A Ventura, California based client is seeking an excellent Family Practice Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide care to patients of all ages in a community health center. An ideal candidate is a versatile and collaborative provider who values providing equitable care to all populations. This role involves providing continuing, comprehensive wellness, preventative, and medical care to families.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited NP/PA program
- Current CA state medical license
- Current DEA certificate
- Board certified
- Current CPR certification
Responsibilities
- Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury; Maintaining the patient record in a timely fashion
- Provide narrative summaries in EMR to communicate patient information to other health care providers
- Order, perform, and interpret tests and analyze records, reports, and examination information to diagnose patients' condition
- Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results
- Monitor patients' conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary
- Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients
- Advise patients concerning diet, activity, and disease prevention
- Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary
