Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Critical Care ICU Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic critical care team just 20 miles south of Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will provide advanced, high-quality care to critically ill patients in a collaborative environment that values excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care to critically ill patients in the ICU in collaboration with intensivists and the multidisciplinary team.
- Perform comprehensive assessments, diagnose conditions, develop treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions.
- Perform procedures such as central line placement, arterial line insertion, intubation, and chest tube placement (if credentialed and trained).
- Monitor and adjust ventilator settings and manage hemodynamic instability.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in rounds, contribute to clinical decision-making, and ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain thorough and accurate medical records.
Requirements:
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Massachusetts.
- Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of critical care or ICU experience preferred.
- ACLS and BLS certification required.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced ICU setting.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
