We are seeking a skilled and experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a locum tenens opportunity in Lake City, FL. This position offers a dynamic environment where you will be part of a dedicated team providing high-quality, urgent medical care.

This role is based in the Emergency Department of a community hospital in Lake City, FL, with flexible shift options available. The locum provider will play a critical role in delivering acute care services to patients.

ED Features:

• Annual ED volume of 60,000 visits, with a 17% admission rate, 15% pediatric cases, and a 9% critical care rate.
• Newly renovated 22-bed Emergency Department.
• 44 hours of daily physician coverage (10-hour and 12-hour shifts).
• 62 hours of daily APP (Advanced Practice Provider) coverage.
• Independent contractor status.

Qualifications:

• Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Florida.
• Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
• Current certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
• Emergency Medicine experience preferred.
