We have an opportunity for a physician assistant (PA) or nurse practitioner (NP) to join our team in the observation units of the emergency department (ED) teams full-time at Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona, and Banner Gateway Medical Center in Gilbert, Arizona. These observation units have 24 hours of advanced practice clinician (APC) coverage working 8- to 12 -hour shifts. These observation units are fast-paced units that work in close collaboration with the emergency department, consultants, support staff of the unit, and Banner administrative physicians.

Types of cases include, cardiac, neurological, surgical, medical, and include trauma, overdoses, and even some psychiatric disorders. There is 24/7 supervising physician oversight, and on-site emergency physician and hospitalist in-house coverage. Candidates must have two years of clinical experience in emergency medicine, hospital medicine, cardiology or critical care experience and ACLS certification.
