We are actively interviewing experienced emergency medicine (EM) family nurse practitioners (FNP) or physician assistants (PA) to join our team full-time at Banner Payson Medical Center in Payson, Arizona as a lead advanced practice clinician. About the Role:
  • 10-bed ED facility with 15,000 annual volumes
  • Advanced practice provider (APP) and specialty coverage
  • Level IV facility with 10% admittance and 6% transfer rate
  • EMR: Cerner with dragon
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care in the emergency department under the supervision of ED physicians
  • Oversee clinical care, ensuring patients receive high-quality, compassionate treatment
  • Lead and collaborate with the medical team, including physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff
  • Potentially take on some leadership and supervisory duties (prior leadership experience is not mandatory, it is ideal)
  • Work with an experienced, cohesive team to manage the EDs annual case load
Required Qualifications:
  • Two years of post-graduate experience as a PA or FNP in emergency medicine
  • Ability to work independently and make quick, informed decisions in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with medical staff, patients, and families
