Key Responsibilities
Patient Care:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, including physical exams and patient histories.
- Diagnose and treat a range of conditions, from minor injuries to critical emergencies.
Emergency Procedures:
- Perform suturing, wound care, and minor surgical interventions.
- Stabilize and manage patients with acute or life-threatening conditions, including cardiac and respiratory emergencies.
Collaborative Practice:
- Consult with on-call physicians as needed and coordinate with EMS for patient transfers.
- Provide detailed follow-up care instructions and ensure continuity of care.
Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate medical records for all patients.
Qualifications
Education: Masters degree from an accredited NP or PA program.
Licensure: Current state licensure as an NP or PA.
Experience: At least 1 year of emergency room experience is preferred.
Skills: Strong clinical decision-making, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently.
