Are you looking to grow your career? TeamHealth has an excellent opportunity for a lead physician assistant (PA) or family nurse practitioner (FNP) to join our emergency medicine (EM) team providing compassionate patient care full-time at Banner Churchill Community Hospital in Fallon, Nevada.

Hospital Information:
  • Facility type: 14-bed emergency department (ED)
  • Annual ED volume: 16,000 visits
  • Admission rate: 8-10%
  • EMR system: Cerner
  • Physician staffing: two, 12-hour physicians
  • Schedule: full-time, 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care in the emergency department under the supervision of ED physicians
  • Oversee clinical care, ensuring patients receive high-quality, compassionate treatment
  • Lead and collaborate with the medical team, including physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff
  • Leadership and supervisory duties (though prior leadership experience is not mandatory, it's ideal)
  • Work with an experienced, cohesive team to manage the ED's annual case load
Required Qualifications:
  • Two years of post-graduate experience as a PA or NP in emergency medicine
  • Ability to work independently and make quick, informed decisions in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with medical staff, patients, and families
