Job Summary:

HCA Florida Highlands Hospital is seeking a full-time Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant) to join our practice in Sebring, Florida and support our sister hospitals, HCA Florida Raulerson Hospital in Okeechobee and HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Ft. Pierce.

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES
  • Must be board-certified by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) OR, American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
  • Must have current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Must be flexible and open to working shifts at HCA Florida Raulerson Hospital in Okeechobee and HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Ft. Pierce
  • New grads with an interest in Emergency Medicine may apply

HCA Florida Highlands Hospital, located in Sebring, Florida, is a 126-bed inpatient, full-service facility. This Emergency Room is comprised of 11 beds including 3 in fast-track and sees an annual patient volume of 29,000. It has an approximate admission rate of 20%, has an active partnership with its sister facility with a close proximity for Trauma, OB, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery and Pediatric support/transfers, provides 24 hours of physician coverage as well as 24 hours of Advanced Practice Professional coverage, and is a Primary Stroke Center. Okeechobee is a quaint, progressive community, that provides an escape from the hustle and bustle with convenience to Florida attractions and beaches within a short drive. Okeechobee is just 35 miles west of the City of Port Saint Lucie, 60 miles Northwest of West Palm Beach, 90 miles south of the greater Orlando Metro area and 75 miles Northeast of I-75 in Fort Myers.

HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital, located in Fort Pierce, is a 497-bed acute care teaching hospital that provides a full range of specialty services, including advanced cardiology, emergency medicine, pediatrics, orthopedics, oncology, nuclear medicine, surgery and is home to the most experienced Heart Institute on the Treasure Coast.
