Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Physician Assistant to the Emergency Medicine group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln . The Hospital is part of the NYC Health + Hospitals System (NYCHHC). Lincoln is a designated Level I Trauma and Stroke Center and has Centers of Excellence in all medical specialties including its award- winning Cancer and Breast Centers.

The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Weill Medical College of Cornell University to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Opportunity Details

The physician assistant will join the care team and perform the following but not limited to:

  • Assess, evaluate, diagnose, perform history and physical exam, and to treat patients of all ages who present to the Emergency Department with any symptom, illness, injury, or condition
  • To provide comprehensive and quality care to patients .
  • Work collaboratively with nursing as well as other clinical services in the hospital.
  • Complete all assigned administrative task/charts as required by the department as well as the hospital.
  • Must be up to date with clinical skills and knowledge base by regular CME as well as taking part in regular departmental teaching activities.
  • Must present patients to the supervising physicians in the area of the ED where they are practicing.
  • Will perform all other duties assigned by the chief of service/his/her designee

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant educational program.
  • Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant.
  • Current certification/admissibility issued by the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
