Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding Physician Assistant to the Emergency Medicine group at NYC Health + Hospitals/ Metropolitan. The Hospital is part of the NYC Health + Hospitals System (NYCHHC). Metropolitan Hospital Center accommodates over 313,000 outpatient visits, nearly 70,000 emergency room visits and more than 13,000 inpatient admissions annually.

Opportunity Details

The Physician Assistant will join the Emergency Medicine Department.

Duties Include:

  • Performing history and physical examinations
  • Ordering diagnostic tests based on assessments
  • Developing treatment plans, prescribing drugs and other therapies as needed
  • Making referrals as necessary, consulting with supervising medical provider when appropriate
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality

Qualifications

  • BLS/ACLS certification
  • NYS License Required
  • NCCPA Certification Required
  • Cultural sensitivity to a diverse and under-served patient population
  • Must have proven ability to work in a team environment
