Job Summary:
HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is seeking a full-time experience Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant) to become part of our prestigious practice in Fort Pierce, Florida and the associated FSED in Vero.QUALIFIED CANDIDATES
• Must be board-certified by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) OR, American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) OR, American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
• Must have at least 12 months of current and consecutive ER experience as an APP as well as current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) AND Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT PROFILE
• Level II Trauma Center
• 60,000 annual patient visits in Main ED and 16,000 in Peds ER
• 42-bed ED including 5 fast track plus 5 monitored beds
• 3 trauma bays, including 1 pediatric
• 2.0 pph
• 70 hours total of physician coverage (main ED and Peds ED incl)
• 60 hours of APP coverage
• 26% Admit rate
• EMR is Meditech, P-doc and dragon dictation
• Comprehensive Stroke facility with bi-plane
• Interventional cardiac cath facility
• code ice facility with therapeutic hypothermia capability
• Several dedicated ED glide scopes and US machines
• 24-hour inhouse Hospitalist and Intensivists
• High acuity
